Computers ELO test ( BT-2450 )

- All information is from the Wiki website -

Testing rules
The BT-2450 test contains 30 test positions, from all areas of a chess game. Each position must be calculated 15 minutes on the analysis level. The time that was needed to find the required solution as the main variation is included in the calculation. It is important that the solution move is kept constant until the end of the 15 minutes!If the train that has already been found is discarded again within these 15 minutes, 15 minutes must be noted as the solution time if it was no longer found. If the solution move is the main variation after 15 minutes, the time in which this move was last taken as a main variation should be taken. If a piece of equipment once again has no idea of the corresponding position and cannot find the appropriate solution move, another 15 minutes are noted. These 30 times must be added to a total time (GZ) and used in one of the following formulas.

BT = 2450 - 2 x GZ (GZ in minutes)
BT = 2450 - GZ / 30 (GZ in seconds)

The calculated BT value corresponds to the German Elo values. This test was very popular in the early 1990s because the results it gave were fairly close to reality. But it is and remains only a test and therefore the results obtained should not be seen as fact, but as food for thought. Devices with a BT value of less than 1650 should be removed from the test , as the inaccuracy in this range increases sharply
